Max started their directing career in University, directing a scene from Mozart's The Magic Flute in a Fall 2023 Opera Scenes program. They have gone on to direct with Garden State Singers directing both cabarets and full productions. Their professional debut as a director was in Garden State Singer's Die Zauberflöte, where they created a new setting and wrote new english dialogue for the show.
